Martin Kecht and his (flexible and extendable) Spaces

Magister Architect Martin Kecht has been an indispensible part of the team right from the start. He is the creative genius behind the “Project Pichlhof”. Not only that, he has also been the moving force, the onsite supervisor and most of all a great trouble shooter through all the difficult phases of the construction.

Born and raised in Absam in 1969, he went on to join the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna. As a student of Professor Gustav Peichl, he has not only profited from his architectural feats and accomplishments (amongst other ORF-Landesstudios, Millennium-Tower, Messe Wien Neu), but also acquired his humorous and satirical approach to life.

After spending a few years constructing houses and office buildings his career path led him to Swarovski, where he was responsible in the division Crystal Architecture for Interior design and development, designing day to day commodities, lamps and lighting fixtures, and even designing Yachts for exclusive Swarovski customers.

One can not overlook his passion, when looking at all the loving details concealed in Pichlhof, even with a critical look. It is evident in every stone and brick and every nook and corner.

Martin Kecht has been involved and been part of the team right from first day of the conception and the beginning of the construction. What at first was a business relationship soon turned into real friendship. Only thus was it possible to realize the vision we had: the vision of Gut Pichlhof.
